Cookie policy

Last updated: Oct. 21, 2026

This policy explains every cookie and similar technology this website uses, why we use it, and how to control it. It is written to meet the requirements of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the Spanish Organic Law 3/2014 (LSSI) and the guidance of the AEPD, the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Who we are

Services Costa Blanca is a marketplace that connects people living in the Costa Blanca region of Spain with local tradespeople. This policy applies to every page of this website.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — do the same job and are treated the same way in this policy.

Cookies we use

Always active

Name Purpose Lifetime
sessionid Keeps you signed in while you browse. Until the browser closes
csrftoken Protects forms and logins against automated spam. 1 year
django_language Remembers whether you chose English or Spanish. 1 year
cb_consent Remembers your cookie choices, with the date you made them. 180 days

These are strictly necessary. Without them the site cannot sign you in, protect your forms, remember your language or store your consent. They are not switched off, and under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and the ePrivacy rules they do not require consent.

Only with your consent

Name Purpose Category Lifetime
Analytics provider Anonymised page and performance measurement. Analytics & Performance Up to 14 months
Functional storage Saved search filters and map preferences, on your device. Functional & Personalisation 180 days
Social and advertising pixels Campaign measurement from Facebook and Google. Marketing / Social Media Up to 3 months

None of these load at all until you agree. We use the “IAB Europe TCF” standard in development; before any production deployment, the names of the real providers must be completed in the table above. Until then this site sets no analytics, functional or marketing cookies.

Your rights

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer. You do not lose any functionality by refusing optional cookies.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the AEPD (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain, or at aepd.es.

Third-party transfers

Where an optional provider is used and you consent, some data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Providers used by this site must put in place an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not send your personal data to advertisers.

How to change this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and ask you again where the change requires fresh consent. The version number in the consent cookie is incremented whenever this policy changes materially, which automatically re-opens the banner for everyone.
